Diana and I used to amuse ourselves with nonsensical poetry. She'd ask why Ogden Nash and Edward Lear should get all the glory. This one came to mind last night:

Ill-bread dough I may be,
At yeast I didn't have the crust to stay.
'Tis butter to have crum and gone
Than to have loaved along the way.

Affa !
