I hope you had a good day.
I didn’t end up seeing Alice. Her father isn’t doing well, so she spent most of the day at El Camino Hospital.
Izzy had a friend over, Manuel did a lot of gardening and I sat in front of the computer researching “the usual” and writing depressing poetry:
La crème de la crème
Chilled and separated by percentages and degrees
Refined into spotless pearls of alchemical perfection
Solitary, white rainbows of light
Dissolving inside luxurious purple cloaks of aged balsamic vinegar
Merging into mouthfuls of gnosis
Oneness
Sliding down the esophagus of the abyss
Forgotten and replaced by hungry flicking tongues
Eternally longing to taste an essence
Lost in soup
Devoured in darkness
