In 1961, when Diana and Tom moved to Washington, DC, one of the first people who sought their services as seasoned professionals (ringers) was Norman Scribner who was organist and choirmaster at Saint Alban’s. Over the years, Diana and Tom performed numerous times with Norman at the National Cathedral and many other venues. Both Bach Cantatas on the first CD of The Definitive Diana were conducted from the keyboard by Norman. (In a few passages of Jauchzet Gott, Tom played the “third hand.”)
In late 2013, Ted Gustin e-mailed Diana to tell her that Scribner was retiring which prompted the renewal of correspondence
That lasted for a couple years.
