Hello & welcome to the PezziFamily.com website. 🙂 This is how the website got started. Shipped to me via USPS was a large cardboard box containing THREE of these slide carrying cases which were probably made in the 1940s. Each of these cases contained 3 drawers with aprox. 100 slides in each drawer totaling roughly 300 35mm slides per case and 900 total in the cases of photographs taken by Diana.

Never, ever had I seen such a well organized collection of images. Each drawer had its correlating index card noting the description of each slide. The carrying cases had in total roughly 900 slides, give or take a few. There were additional containers provided housing quite a few hundred more slides and photos taken over the years.

I originally met Diana in 1975 and understood that she had traveled quite a bit throughout the years but never knew until 41 years later how much of a gift and passion she had for photography and what a treasured variety of media she had assembled for us to enjoy.

Diana has left us with this gift, a collection of the Pezzi family history!! Captured through her photography we see some of the sights that she had seen and some of the family history that she was able to bring back to life through her photos, writings and recordings.

As far as I am concerned this is a priceless gift of family history that I had the great fortune of seeing. Thank you Diana for sharing with us who you are and preserving these moments we never would have seen if not for you.
