PHOTO – “ca. 1913/14” — (left to right, seated) Preziosa and her mother, Filomena. Standing was Antoinette, youngest sister of Preziosa, who died 18 May 1914 at age 17.


This photo was taken in 1913 or 14 and used the same type of camera used by Matthew Brady to photograph the Civil War, generals, politicians (including Lincoln) and battlefield scenes. These type of cameras also used a glass negative (and a silver nitrate wash).
